What if your mission was “helping people on their path to better health” and you realized your execution promoted unhealthy habits? In February 2014, CVS announced they would no longer sell tobacco-related products in their 2,800 stores. There was no public pressure to do so. No scandal. No online campaign. Nothing that forced them to make the decision...and it was a decision that would create $2B in lost revenue. It was a GOAT move and full of lessons for us to pay attention to! GOATs to include CVS, and so many more! We serve it up in a way you can get it!
